Occupational Therapy Outpatient Program
"Vision without action is merely a dream. Action without vision just passes the time. Vision and action together can change the world." Joel Arthur Baker
It has always been a dream to combine my love of animals and nature with my professional skills to assist people in achieving their goals. As an Occupational Therapist, I have been treating adults with neurological impairments in various stages of recovery for 20 years: acute care, rehabilitation, post acute support and home care services.
The bond between people and animals is powerful. Using the movements of the horse, the stimulation of the natural environment, the responsibility of caring for an animal contribute to a person's motivation. Planned groups or individual experiences allow a patient to socialize, enjoy the environment and feel good about him or her self.
Getting out of the hospital environment and coming to Kristan Mosley's Therapy Farm is a stepping stone to independence.
